Shirlee Read... The Kitchen Door
You might want to try a German Chocolate Cream pie this week at the booth Pie for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. A new pie flavor, it adds coconut and pecans to the already delicious standard chocolate cream pie filling. Another specialty pie this week is Lemon Meringue. Also on the table are an assortment of beautiful fruit pies, quiches and Frozen savory entree pies, all freshly made for your summer entertaining. Select pieces of pie are always available for you to eat on the spot. All pies are made from scratch by pie maker, Shirlee Read.
Pam Mitchell... Pam's Place Produce
Summer crops are coming in now, and fresh basil is a wonderful addition to almost any meal! Pick up a bag at the stall on Saturday, but come early, because it sells out fast. If you don’t plan to use it right away, store it by placing a damp paper towel over the top leaves in the bag and keep in a cool place. NEVER REFRIGERATE BASIL, it hates the cold temperatures in the refrigerator, and will turn black very quickly.
Tomatoes are also coming in, and there’ll be boxes of bright yellow cherries, and bags of plump red salad tomatoes. See you under the big tree at 10am!
