Pam Mitchell... Pam's Place Produce
My zucchini plants are pumping out lots of wonderful yellow beauties, and some of them are growing bigger than the size I like to bag up, so I’m selling them as singles, and you get to take home more poundage for your money that way! As long as the shine is still on the skin, the taste is the same as the smaller ones. When you can’t use them right away, rub a little cooking oil on the skins and they’ll last for weeks unrefrigerated, out of direct sunlight. If you choose to cook them and freeze them, they can be thawed to thicken soups and stews in the winter – yum!
If you miss me on Saturdays under the big tree, drop an email on Saturday afternoon to find out if I’m planning to vend at Greenbank on Sunday. If I have more to harvest, I’ll be there from 11am to 3pm. See you at the market!
