Join Us This Saturday...

This week's Music is:
Nathaniel Talbot--finger-pickin’ guitar and vocals

Join us again this Saturday for the
Best Of  South Whidbey

Shirlee Read, The Kitchen Door
Freshly picked Island Rhubarb and Lemon Meringue (in honor of Mother's Day) will be the featured pies this Saturday at the booth, Pie for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Heading into her 10th year at the Bayview Farmers' Market, Shirlee Read, mistress of pies, will also have her trademark frozen savory pies, Down Home Chicken and Classic Meat, along with quiches, cream pies and a variety of made-from-scratch fruit pies. Order ahead to get the one you crave--360-730-2322

Pam’s Place Produce and Plants will have warm-season plant starts beginning this Saturday. There will still be cool-season starts (and in our climate, these can be planted all the way through the end of June for a later harvest), but with a little protection on clear/frosty nights, the warm-season starts can be put out now to grow a good root system and support a heavy crop of fruit later this year.
Last week the produce sold out fast, so come early for the best selection. Email pamsplaceproduce@whidbey.com if you’d like me to set aside an order for pickup later in the day.

Jule Spangler...The Lunch Box
New to the Market this year, the Lunch Box features wraps & salads made with local and organic ingredients and hand-crafted dressings. We also offer a Brown Bag Lunch for the kids with a healthy sandwich, homemade cookie, fruit, and a kid-friendly beverage. Taste the Market at the Lunch Box!

Just in time for Mother's Day. Two special gift envelopes. Perfect for a gift certificate or a special note for mom. Stop by and check them out. See you at the market! Meredith

Jude Biegert, HERbal Elder

If you enjoyed the Chicken Coop Tour on Whidbey last month, come check out Bob Bowling Rustics at the Bayview Farmer's Market each Saturday. Bob specializes in rustic coops, greenhouses, tool sheds, potting benches, and yard art made from reclaimed and recycled materials. Built to suit a variety of budgets and styles, these buildings are truly functional art at its best.

If you've seen ads and stories about the Bayview Farmers Market you'll see the words "rain or shine" market. That's your guarantee that (with one or two exceptions that will be announced well in advance) you can count on finding us at the market every Saturday from now through the end of October. It's not always pretty outside when we leave for the market Saturday morning --- but this is our pledge.... we'll be there. So, you can rely on finding the freshest breads, pastries and cakes at the TTB booth every Saturday. And remember: make sure you place a  pre-order for Mother's Day.
