Farewell George

 

Long-time Bayview Farmers Market vendor George Brunjes (Chocolate by George) died Sunday morning in Seattle. He had suffered a full cardiac arrest last Thursday. George, whose friendly face greeted customers at his booth under the big tree at the market, was a great chocolatier...and a big asset to our community of vendors. For several years George served as secretary for the market. We will miss his wit, humor and wise direction.

"Earlier today, in accordance with his wishes, we had the life support removed from our father. He passed away quickly, pain free and with dignity. A memorial service is being held at 5 PM Tuesday, May 29th at Trinity Lutheran Church in Freeland, WA. It will be followed by a reception at the church. We would like to thank you all for keeping us in your thoughts during this time of transition."
